BOYS SPRING SEASON

Boys Spring Hockey Program

The Spring Season at York Hockey Club offers a strong combination of skill development, teamwork, and competitive play, led by our Varsity and JV coaching staff. There will be two Varsity teams and one JV team, with each team scheduled to play 10-12 games against SHL and other local high school opponents. Players are guaranteed to participate in at least five games.

Teams will have (7) Monday practice sessions, with most home games scheduled for Wednesdays and occasional weekends. Practices will focus on key fundamentals, including body contact, game strategy, and offensive and defensive development.

Monday, March 23rd:  

• Incoming Freshman / Sophomore 8:00 - 9:00 PM

• Incoming Junior / Senior 9:10 -10:10 PM

Wednesday, March 25th: 

• Incoming Junior / Senior 4:30 - 5:30 PM

• Incoming Freshman / Sophomore 9:10 - 10:10 PM

During tryouts, York's coaching staff will assess players to determine team assignments. If selected, players will be placed on teams based on their skill level, creating balanced and competitive matchups with opponents of similar ability.

Please note that roster spots are not guaranteed for all interested players.

Boys Spring Hockey begins Monday, April 6th and runs through Sunday, May 24th. Each team will play approximately 10-12 games, with every player guaranteed to compete in at least five games.

Monday practice times will rotate among the three teams throughout the Spring Season. Practice times are as follows:

MONDAY PRACTICE TIMES:

• 4:10 - 5:10 PM

• 8:00 - 9:00 PM

• 9:10 - 10:10 PM

TUESDAY GOALIE SKILL DEVELOPMENT: (7 sessions included in Spring fees):

• 9:00 - 10:00 PM, Willowbrook Ice Arena

WEDNESDAY HOME GAMES:

• 9:10 - 10:40 PM, Addison Ice Arena

In addition to the scheduled away games, there will also be some home games on Friday nights.
